La Coordinadora Nacional de Pequeños Productores del Perú y la Junta Nacional de café se pronunciaron para solicitar el aumento del precio del café en el mercado justo. Mientras el café convencional se negocia a precios de 220 dólares el saco de 100 libras, muchos importadores de comercio justo ofertan precios de 180 y 190 dólares, y hasta menos, generándoles pérdidas a las organizaciones de productores.
